I am an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at Iowa State University.  I am originally from Beauceville, a beautiful small town an hour south of Quebec City.  I did my undergraduate and Master's degrees in economics at Université Laval.  I then spent a year working at the Centre de Recherche en Économie Agroalimentaire.  I later moved to California where I started a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California at Davis. I graduated in 2008 and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California's Agricultural Issues Center.  I joined the Department of Economics at Iowa State University in August of 2009.
