Carlberg, Jared Associate Professor of Agribusiness & Agricultural Economics


Research interest

Jared Carlberg was raised on a mixed cattle and grain farm at Osage, Saskatchewan. He attended the University of Saskatchewan where he attained undergraduate degrees in economics (with honours) and finance in 1997 and his Master's in agricultural economics in 1999. He then attended Oklahoma State University  and received his doctorate in agricultural economics in 2002 before beginning his current position at the University of Manitoba that year. His current research interests are in the areas of market structure and performance, agricultural marketing, and the economics of food, nutrition and health.
